Started with percussion, picked a key and added keys and electric guitar, then wondered what to do next. . . These lyrics came to me while I was swimming, and I thought I'd try 'em out. Kinda weird to go back to a 3 minute song after all these haikus, but I'm a sucker for a groove and I haven't let myself settle in for a month.
2023-10-07@tunecatThis is great. Love the gentle ( and live) backing nice and chilled but yet the forward motion is there. Then I’m a richer for twangy guitars snd oddness ( sorry not meant as a criticism it’s very much a genre I respond to). Then there’s extras like s touch of starsky and hutch ( !) the vocal is great too ( will have to go back in as been too focussed on listening.
2023-08-28@ttg105I like the lazy feel, the regular tick tock of the percussion, the shapeshifting guitar, the flashes of piano ... great sound overall. Like a weirder JJ Cale.
2023-08-28@fuzzyLove love love this a lot.
Wonderful vocal treatment.
Great noises moving around in my headphones.
So strange and yet super engaging and groovy.
Nice keyboard wandering around there.
This is totally my kind of thing.
Keep em coming, please!
Downloaded for future enjoyment.
2023-08-28@elainedimasiThis is sly. It's sort of like entering a scene with a slightly spooky narrator just off to the side, making this invitation - to the others in the scene? To you, to me? Well let's go on in and find that out! :-) [cue instrumental interlude at 2:11 or so]
Having "passage" rhyme with the hallway echoes in our memory of "gist of this message" is just perfect to keep pulling that thread we follow.
2023-08-27@billwhite51i love that wobbly guitar and the smoke signal drums. this line reminds me of something by paul simon (Hot with a toy, boy / Give it a whirl, girl) really interesting piece, especially the music.
